FREE Family Learning Courses

Please see below some short courses/workshops for Nov – Dec 2020 to support families during this latest lockdown for the last part of half term this year. All of the Family Learning courses are FREE for every parent or carer at the moment.

Courses in 2020 will include:
Fun with Phonics – a course to support parents/carers to understand their children’s Phonics to do at home

Marvellous Maths – a course to support Parents/carers to understand Foundation Stage maths to do at home

Support for Parents/Carers with children who have special needs and disabilities – A Nurture course for adults

Bridging the Gap – a course for Parents/carers concerned about any gaps in their children’s knowledge, education or development during lockdown with some crafty ideas

Marvellous Me After Lockdown – A course to empower parents/carers to discover how Marvellous they are once their children are at school and they are home alone

Time for You – A Course for parents/carers to explore their turn to learn and what they might like to learn next

Art Courses – Using art as therapy for parents/carers who want support with anxiety or low emotional wellbeing

Here are the January – March 2022 New Family Learning Courses. The courses start at the end of January so please book on to these if you are interested as places fill up quickly.

Parents and carers living in Worcestershire can attend any course below for FREE with the following eligibility:

Understanding Your Child – Virtual Programme starting April 2022

Starting Well Partnership have a new programme that the Parenting Team are running in April.

This will be a virtual programme run through Zoom.

The programme will also be offered of an evening for families that are busy throughout the day.

Solihull Approach Free Courses

Public Health fund HWHCT hold a “Solihull Approach” for on-line guides or courses for parents, families and young people. This means that all courses are free to all Worcestershire residents.

The latest addition to this is “Understanding your relationships” a course for adults, young people, and older adults. Covers communication, anger, conflict, repair and more.

Worms and Wellies Family Learning

Following the huge success of our previous Family Learning course Rainbows and Recipes, we are holding another course called Worms and Wellies starting on Wednesday 17th April 2024.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

The parents and children had a wonderful time last term and we are sure this course will be just as much fun!
