Years 1 to 6 Science VR Space Worshop

On Monday 18th March 2024, The Education Group visited school to provide a VR Space experience for our Y1 to Y6 children.

This was greatly enjoyed by all the children who were whisked away in a world of virtual reality into space, where they visited the planets in our solar system.

They listened to an audio commentary alongside fabulous 3D visuals giving many fascinating facts about the planets in space.

This was concluded by a 3D experience showing the connection between the planets and how they orbit the sun which was a fantastic way to demonstrate to the children how the solar system works. This experience rounded of British Science Week beautifully!

Year 6 Science Lesson

On Wednesday 2nd October 2024, Year 6 were very fortunate to be visited by Wilden Year 6 and Mrs Ames from Stourport High School to lead a science lesson.

Year 6 are currently focusing on identifying and naming the main parts of the human circulatory system, and describing the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood.

Mrs Ames brought a pig’s heart into school and performed a dissection for the children allowing them to see clearly how the heart functions.

It was a brilliant lesson and the children were able to ask some really impressive scientific questions.

Well done Year 6!
