Homeless Help Bags

A few months ago, myself and Eadie decided we wanted to help the homeless. We came up with the idea to make some homeless help bags that would contain essential items that they may need sleeping rough. To enable us to achieve this, we did five fundraising Fridays at school.

On week one we did our ‘donation station’ and with all your donations we managed to make 24 bags with just that one fundraiser!

On week two the school was raising money for comic relief but they support the homeless anyway.

On week three we did our dress down day and everyone was very generous .

On week four, we did the raffle for Mother’s Day and the staff from school all made a donation towards the two hampers. Mrs Unitt’s daughter made a fabulous cake!

On our final week we did a cake sale and thank you to everyone that donated cake to us.

Thanks to everyone’s help we have managed to raise an incredible £347.00 which has given us enough money to make 50 bags and donate just over £100.00 to the charity.

We are going to MAGGS Day Centre , Worcester on the 3rd June to hand over the bags so that they can be distributed to the homeless. Free radio are covering our story and this will hopefully be aired over half term.

Thank you very much to all the staff, pupils and parents at Hartlebury primary that have supported and helped us make the homeless bags a reality. Please see more photos in our gallery.

Many Thanks

Millie and Eadie
