The Great Hartlebury Fairtrade Bake Off!
As some of you may know, the next two weeks are Fairtrade Fortnight, and the children will be learning all about what this means in their lessons. But to go along side this, we are launching an exciting competition: The Great Hartlebury Fairtrade Bake Off!
We know lots of the children have been doing baking at home during lockdown and now is their chance to put these skills to the test!
The challenge is to create something delicious which includes a Fairtrade ingredient in the recipe, or create something with a Fairtrade theme. It could be anything from a scrumptious Fairtrade chocolate cake, a gorgeous banana bread, or if they’re feeling really creative, a cake in the shape of something that represents Fair Trade?! There are prizes to be won!
Please send a photo of your child with their entry to office@hartlebury.worcs.sch.uk and ask Miss Gledhill to forward it on to Miss Branagh. We will then gather all our entries and a panel of experts (teachers who really like baked goods!) will pick our winners!
Please do note however, that we would like to encourage as many children to take part as possible and entries do not need to look like they’ve been made by Mary Berry! Participation and effort is the main thing and all entries will be celebrated.
Good luck!
