National School Sports Week – Day 5 – Commonwealth Games Day
What a success Commonwealth Games Day has been!
All of the children at school have experienced a range of activities all linked to the games. We have taken part in javelin, sprinting, hockey, tennis, basketball and long jump.
We hope that taking part has inspired the children to get involved in the games this summer whether that is watching on television or in person!

As part of the Games, The Queen’s Baton Relay has been taking place. The Relay began on 7 October 2021, with Her Majesty The Queen placing her Message to the Commonwealth into the Baton.
The Baton is now on its 294-day long journey to every corner of the Commonwealth. In case you weren’t aware, the Commonwealth Games baton relay route is passing through the Wyre Forest!
