As a part of our efforts to keep improving and strengthening home-school communication in the Early Years we are going to be offering two parent workshops this half term. These workshops are an opportunity for you to find out a bit more about what we do in Early Years, how we teach, support and assess the children and to give you some tips and ideas for what you can do to continue this support at home.

The sessions are for both Pre-School AND Reception parents.

The sessions run as follows:

Monday 12th November – 5:30pm – 6:30pm – Phonics, Reading and Speech and Language (Infusing a Rich and Broad Vocabulary)

Monday 26th November – 5:30pm – 6:30pm – Building Up the Picture of Your Child’s Achievements (Assessment, Observation and Home-School Communication)

We really do encourage you to attend if you can.

If you are able to attend, please can you let a member of staff know and we will record this so we have a rough estimate of how many people to expect and if the sessions are viable.

If these sessions are successful, we will aim to run some more next half term, potentially with one having a Maths/Behaviour/Social skills focus – if you have any ideas of what other support would be useful. Let us know.
