PTA Christmas Movie Night and Santa Dash – Thank you!

SANTA DASH SUCCESS

On Friday 15th December 2023, we took part in the Annual Hartlebury Primary School Santa Dash.

Children wore their Christmas jumpers, hats and tinsel and dashed around the playground for 15 minutes, trotting like reindeers, stomping like snowmen and skipping like elves.

Children even got to wave at our very special visitor… Father Christmas who gave all of the children a Christmas present from the PTA.

Thank you so much to everybody who donated.

This sponsorship, combined with the support for the PTA Christmas Movie Night and for your generous Nativity donations, have raised a grand total of…£1680! Wow! What an amazing total raised for our wonderful PTA.

Thank you once again. What a supportive school community we have!

All funds will be used by the PTA to provide enhancements for learning which will benefit all of our fantastic pupils.

Thank you for your Donations

We received a wonderful and generous amount of donations which were taken to Kidderminster Foodbank for distribution to those in our community experiencing food poverty or insecurity over the Christmas period.

We were so grateful for all of your donations. We even featured in the Kidderminster Shuttle.

Tesco Vote – Hartlebury reception children hoping for new climbing equipment

Pupils at Hartlebury CE Primary School are hoping “every little helps” in their bid to win first place in the Tesco Community Grant vote, which runs until the end of September.

With three worthy bids for customers to choose from, the school is set to bag at least £500 but hopes enough shoppers will choose their Early Years Outdoor Area project to win first place and £1,500.

Worn-out wooden climbing equipment had to be removed so funds are needed for modern alternatives to support the physical and social development of the Pre-School and Reception Class children.

Thank you to Annie in Reception Class, who sent us this lovely picture of her voting for our fabulous school. Every little helps!

This event will be taking place on Friday 16th June, around the school playground to raise money for this year’s chosen charity.

By taking part, we are hoping to raise as much money as we can for the children’s chosen charity and we will kindly be asking family and friends who are able to support us, for sponsorship of children who are taking part in this fundraising challenge. Any monies raised should be put in a sealed envelope with your child’s details and sponsorship form by Friday 14th July. Alternatively, donations can be made on the School’s JustGiving page found here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/hartleburyschool

The event is being organised by the School Council and the children will be challenged to complete a sports skill for 15 minutes around the playground. Children can skip, dribble a football, use a hockey stick and ball, bounce a basketball or balance a tennis ball on a racket, all whilst moving around a circuit. The challenge is to complete the course as many times as you can within the timeframe.

A big, big thank you in advance of this exciting event.

Well done Year 4.

Worcestershire Homeless Appeal

DNA Automotive Solutions in Worcester do a lot of work with the Worcestershire Homeless Appeal team keeping their vehicles on the road. They are in desperate need for men’s clothing, especially as we are approaching the colder seasons.

The owner of DNA Automotive Solutions is a parent of our school. As a family, they went out a couple of weekends ago and helped with the street kitchen, handing out clothes and bags. The High Sheriff of Worcestershire was present along with Team Homeless.

If anyone would like to donate any men’s clothing to this very worthwhile cause, please contact DNA Automotive Solutions on 01905 755088. Due to the current COVID-19 guidance within our school, we are unable to accept any donations into school. Please arrange for any donations to go directly to DNA Automotive Solutions.

“We feel it’s really important the kids learn how we all have the ability to make somebody else’s life better. Our children really made them smile which was so warming to see. I feel it was really important for both of the kids to really see first hand and understand that there are others nowhere near as fortunate as us and the difficulties that they face. Both kids took a lot from the evening.” David – owner of DNA Automotive Solutions

Sport Relief

On Friday 13th March 2020, children were invited to come to school dressed as their sporting hero. In the afternoon, the whole school and parents took part in the sports relief mile around the field. The children were sent home with sponsorship forms and as a school we raised an incredible £648!

Thank you to all of those who were able to contribute towards this amount.

Many Thanks from Maggs!

Please have a read at this lovely letter received from Maggs Day Centre.

Operation Christmas Child

Every year we support Operation Christmas Child. The children create their own box or gather up some items for a collective box and spread some kindness across countries when maybe kindness is in short supply. We collected over 30 boxes around our cross in school this year.

Thank you as always for all the support we receive.

Oscar’s Day

We are supporting a little boy, called Oscar, who attends Pitmaston Primary School in Year 1. He is very poorly and requires a 2nd stem cell transplant which his parents have to fund.

Spring Fayre 2019

Congratulations, Well Done and THANK YOU!!

Our Spring Fayre was held on Saturday 18th May 2019 and it was fantastic – even the weather! Great fun was had by everyone who was able to come. The PTA, with all of your help, raised over £800 towards school projects which is amazing! Here in school we are all massively grateful and thankful for the wonderful support we receive from the PTA and all our families.

Thank you again to all those who supported and helped with this annual community event.

Homeless Help Bags

A few months ago, myself and Eadie decided we wanted to help the homeless. We came up with the idea to make some homeless help bags that would contain essential items that they may need sleeping rough. To enable us to achieve this, we did five fundraising Fridays at school.

On week one we did our ‘donation station’ and with all your donations we managed to make 24 bags with just that one fundraiser!

On week two the school was raising money for comic relief but they support the homeless anyway.

On week three we did our dress down day and everyone was very generous .

On week four, we did the raffle for Mother’s Day and the staff from school all made a donation towards the two hampers. Mrs Unitt’s daughter made a fabulous cake!

On our final week we did a cake sale and thank you to everyone that donated cake to us.

Thanks to everyone’s help we have managed to raise an incredible £347.00 which has given us enough money to make 50 bags and donate just over £100.00 to the charity.

We are going to MAGGS Day Centre , Worcester on the 3rd June to hand over the bags so that they can be distributed to the homeless. Free radio are covering our story and this will hopefully be aired over half term.

Thank you very much to all the staff, pupils and parents at Hartlebury primary that have supported and helped us make the homeless bags a reality. Please see more photos in our gallery.

Many Thanks

Millie and Eadie

Snowden Climb

Alfie, Leah, Daniel and Spencer (plus Mums and Dads) all climbed Snowden during the Easter holidays, raising £645 for school in the process. They are intending to buy IT equipment with the proceeds.

Well done and thank you to them and thank you to everyone who supported them.

Thank You

Millie and Eadie came up with the idea that they wanted to collect money and items to make up individual bags to be handed out to people living on the streets in Worcestershire. They planned 4 Fab Fundraising Fridays and added in Comic Relief to make it FIVE! I want to THANK YOU ALL personally because they raised far more than they ever expected and none of this was possible without your help, generosity and support. They have been able to create 50 bags to be handed out and are making a donation of £116. The bags will be distributed by Maggs Day Centre in Worcester.

We are SO proud of every ones’ efforts.

Comic Relief raised £191.85

Red Nose Day

We are supporting this national fund raising appeal again this year and invited everyone to come to school head to toe in RED! Or with a little bit of red! All we asked for was a donation towards this charity. Red Nose Day raised the amazing amount of £191.85.

Thank you as always for all of your fabulous support!!
