We were so excited to have Kidderminster Harriers player Amari Morgan-Smith in school on Wednesday 19th June 2024, to lead our assembly as part of National Sports Week.

Amari told us about his life as a footballer and told the children stories about how he has had to persevere throughout his life in order to make it as a professional footballer.

The children were also able to ask Amari questions about his life as a footballer and were excited to find out Amari had played at Wembley and played against Harry Maguire!

Thank you so much for visiting us Amari, the children were starstruck!

We hope to welcome you back at Hartlebury one day.

Sponsored Sports Circuit

We are so proud of all of the children for taking part in our Sponsored Sports Circuit this morning raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. The school council took a vote around school and this is the charity that the children chose to raise money for.

Children had 15 minutes to run, skip, dribble a football or basketball, dribble a ball with a hockey stick or balance a beanbag on a tennis racket around our playground.

Children were challenged to complete as many laps as they could.

There’s still time to donate to our cause if you wish, please follow this link:

Jumping Jaxx

Our Year 5 children are well underway in preparing to become Year 6’s, as they all took part in the Jumping Jaxx training on Thursday 11th July 2024.

This fantastic program teaches them to become play leaders and next year, they will run some small games sessions for the Key Stage 1 children at lunchtimes.

They learnt lots of new skills and games, had fun whilst doing it and I’m sure will make great leaders next year.

Well done Year 5!
