Bedtime Stories
On Tuesday 5th February Pre-School and Reception had a really magical evening of Bedtime Stories and Nursery Rhymes. All of the children and their families were invited back to school for a very cosy evening.
The grown-ups worked really hard to make the classroom all cosy with fairy lights, lamps, blankets and cushions and the children had spent the day making Winter biscuits to share with their families.
We had well over 50 people come, which was amazing!
To begin with the children stayed with Mrs Hackett, Mrs Tristram, Mrs Leavesley, Miss Harris and Miss Price for some stories and nursery rhymes, whilst the grown-ups went with Miss Bagnall for an information session all about the importance of reading bedtime stories, how to establish a good sleep routine and how to support their children’s developing Literacy skills.
After this, everybody came together to listen to one of Miss Bagnall’s stories “Giraffes Can’t Dance” (she even came in her giraffe onesie!). Finally, everyone had fruit, biscuits, hot chocolate and squash and shared our class books together on the carpet.
It was so lovely to see so many families attending and to share such a special evening with our families, enjoying stories and making memories together.
