Stourport-on-Severn Town Council’s – The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail
The Trail went live on Saturday 30th April and runs for 5 weeks until Sunday 12th June 2022. Seven local businesses around the Town are displaying vinyl characters. Each business has a QR Code for players to scan and collect.
These seven magical characters are on a day trip from Buckingham Palace. Visitors will join Sir Barnaby Beacon on the trail as he visits his friends and will be able to see the characters in augmented reality (AR), decide what happens next in the story and even win a free digital fun pack at the end. Not only that, but each of the characters will tell visitors about a decade in the Queen’s historic seventy-year reign.
To start the trail, visitors will need to go to www.jubileebeacontrail.com to see the trail map. They will then need to scan the unique QR codes with a smartphone, learn more of the story and can take a selfie with the character in AR. When all have been found, a free digital fun pack can be downloaded.
