Year 4 Platform ‘Train Day’

On Friday 1st July 2022, Year 4 went on a ‘Train Day’ that was run by Platform.

Children started the morning at Hartlebury Train Station where we were met by Emilie from Platform who reminded the children about rail safety. We then boarded the train to Worcester and the children behaved impeccably!

On arrival, we were met by Imogen from Platform and we walked to the ‘History and Heritage Pod’ at Crowngate shopping centre. Here, children worked in groups learning all about the history of travel and transport.

We put a series of events in chronological order and answered questions about events on the timeline. Children even had the opportunity to create their own mode of transport for the future and we had some really creative, environmentally friendly ideas!

After lunch, we walked to the park where children were allowed to explore and play before walking back to Worcester Foregate train station where we travelled by train back to Hartlebury.

We were so proud of all of the children and their behaviour all day was outstanding! Great work Year 4!
